Creating Pathways Through Education
Early motherhood can interrupt a girl's education and make it difficult to continue learning or access opportunities. Our education and skills initiatives help young mothers identify pathways that match their circumstances, interests and goals.
The project brings together education support, vocational training, mentorship and practical skills to help participants build confidence and prepare for greater independence.
What the Project Includes
School ReintegrationSupporting girls who wish to return to formal education and helping them navigate the process of resuming their studies. |
Vocational SkillsProviding practical training that enables participants to explore skills they can use for employment, self-employment and income generation. |
Educational SupportAssisting with essential learning materials and other needs that can make it easier for girls to participate in education and training. |
Mentorship & GuidanceCreating opportunities for girls to receive guidance as they make decisions about education, skills development, work and personal growth. |
Digital LiteracyIntroducing participants to basic computer skills and digital learning opportunities that can support education and future employment. |
Career & Future PlanningHelping participants explore their interests, identify opportunities and develop practical next steps for their education, training or work. |
Expanding Access to Digital Learning
Digital skills are becoming increasingly important for education, employment and access to information. We are working towards creating a dedicated digital learning space where young mothers can use technology for schoolwork, research, online learning and basic computer skills.
We are currently seeking support for laptops, desktop computers and other digital learning resources to help establish and equip this space.
Individuals, companies, foundations and technology partners can contribute by donating equipment, providing digital learning resources or supporting the purchase of computers.
A Pathway Designed Around Each Girl
Every participant comes with different experiences, responsibilities and aspirations. The project therefore takes a flexible approach, helping girls identify the education or skills pathway that is most relevant to their situation.
Whether returning to school, learning a vocational skill, developing digital abilities or preparing for employment, the focus is on providing practical opportunities that can help each girl move forward.
